Key Things to Know About GDPR
- It does apply to your business if you have any personal data relating to an EU Citizen
- It applies to every organisation, irrespective of their location or focus - B2C, B2B are all included
- It also covers the data you hold on your own employees
- It is already law but comes into force on May 25th 2018
- It's objective is to protect the data rights of citizens within the EU
- It requires that your organisation has the correct controls and policies to protect the data you possess
