GDPR

GDPR

Data Protection is not only a vital component of your business but also now a mandatory part. The EU General Data Protection Regulation comes into force on May 25th 2018. Do you understand its implications for your business?

EU General Data Protection Regulation

Does this really affect my business?

The answer is almost certainly, yes. If you are in possession of, handle, store, manipulate or use personal information about a resident of one of the European Union member states, or those within the European Economic Area (EEA) then you are required to comply to GDPR.

Even if your company is not based within the EU boundaries if you have data relating to their residents, you are required to comply.

Don't think Brexit is your excuse to ignore this, it is not! GDPR comes into force on 25th May 2018, almost one year before the UK is scheduled to leave the EU. Even after that time the UK is likely to use much, if not all, of the GDPR policies within its own Data Protection Bill.
